Democrats - Will of the Voters is the POPULAR VOTE

Sat Mar 15, 2008 at 09:39:07 PM PDT

Sorry, the ObamaKos rules only apply here.

Regarding the Superdelegates and their following the will of the voters - most Democrats believe that the way to determine the will of the voters is by the popular vote, not the most pledged delegates - and this includes Obama supporters.

Obama Must Think We're Complete Idiots

Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 07:35:17 PM PDT

I watched several of the Obama interviews tonight regarding his racist, anti-American mentor and pastor, Reverend Wright.

He must think the American people are complete idiots.  He claims that he was not aware of any of these comments (except for "one" that he first learned of when he began running for President, which morphed into "one or two" later in the interview).

He attended this church on a regular basis for twenty years.  He listened to Wright's sermons on tape when he was in college.  And he was close friends with Wright.  In fact, he cancelled out on Wright appearing at his Presidential announcement because he know how controversial he is.

Obama's Anti-American Pastor Story Is NOT Going Away

Thu Mar 13, 2008 at 06:08:05 PM PDT

The videos of Obama's America-hating Mentor and Pastor are not going away.  Dan Abrams' show is just starting on MSNBC as I write this and he will be covering it tonight.

Obama and his campaign are whistling in the dark on this one.  Obama sat in this man's church for 20 years while he denounced this nation ("God damn America"), blamed America for 9/11 - ("Chickens coming home to roost"), etc. etc. etc. etc.

Put this guy together with Michelle Obama's wacky comments ("I've never been proud of America...") and it paints a picture.

Just Words - Hillary Comes Out Swinging Today!

Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 09:30:32 AM PDT

Hillary has something to say today to those arrogant Obama supporters who think she should drop out even though she still has a realistic chance to win the nomination.

"I'm in it to win it!"

In prepared remarks to be delivered in Harrisburg PA today, she will say:

No, Hillary's Campaign DIDN'T Wink-Wink on NAFTA

Sat Mar 08, 2008 at 07:57:54 AM PDT

I realize this is no longer a reality based community.  However, the fact is that Hillary's campaign did NOT give the ol' wink-wink to the Canadian government about NAFTA.  Only the Obama campaign did that (and then tried to cover it up).

How Obama REALLY won the Texas Caucus

Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 09:44:38 AM PDT

One may wonder - how is it that Hillary won the Texas primary by around 4 points, yet Obama is winning the caucus by double digits (around 12 points) - when they were both held the very same day, in the very same state, amongst the same voting population?

This excellent piece by Ann Althouse, whose son was on the scene, gives a great deal of insight into what really can happen at these caucuses.

Pennsylvania - C - 52, O - 37!! New Rasmussen

Thu Mar 06, 2008 at 11:08:27 AM PDT

Brand spanking new polling from Rasmussen shows that Hillary has opened up a 15 point lead in the very, very critical state of Pennsylvania!

Hillary Ain't Conceding after the 3/4 Contests

Fri Feb 29, 2008 at 01:57:47 PM PDT

As most of you know (and many of you find distasteful, but that's your problem) I am a strong and committed support of Hillary Clinton's candidacy for President.  I've been observing events for the last few days and have come to this conclusion - unless she losed both Texas and Ohio on Tuesday, there is no way in the world that she will drop out of the race following these contests.  And I personally don't think she is going to lose Ohio.

My analysis is simple.  She has the money and support to go on.  She deeply and firmly believes that she is far more qualified to be President than Obama and that the nation would be better served if she wins.  And you never know what's going to happen in politics.

How Obama Rode The Race Card to Victory

Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 10:34:14 AM PDT

This is for those Hillary supporters who are who are just appalled at the slander that's been tossed at Bill and Hillary Clinton over race during this campaign.  And for those who support Obama and are going to post a bunch of nasty comment here - all I ask is that you read the entire piece before you do so.

Put aside everything else - does it make any sense that the Clintons would "play the race card" if they wanted to win?  Could there be anything stupider one would do in a Democratic nomination contest?  Think about that for five seconds, and then read the piece

Republicans in Texas Are Helping Us Pick Our Nominee

Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 12:25:34 PM PDT

This is just grand!  Maybe we should have more open primaries where people who are committed Republicans, and have no intention of voting for us in the General Election, are helping to pick our nominee.

Hillary is Leading in OH, TX and RI

Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 10:42:55 AM PDT

Just a quick diary to inform any Hillary supporters who still get onto this site (I know there are a few) that Hillary is leading in Ohio (2 brand new polls have her leading by 8 and 11 points), Texas (holding onto a slim lead according to most recent polls, AND Rhode Island - recent polls have her with a 10 to 15 point lead, depending on the poll.

I'm a bit pressed for time, so I'm not going to do a bunch of links - all recent polling can be found at pollster.com or realclearpolitics.com.

Shame on You, Barack Obama

Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 01:22:18 PM PDT

I love that Hillary lit into Obama today for his nasty, misleading, attack mailers on her.  What a total phony he is, crying "same old politics" whenever his record and words are scrutinized, but still putting this crap out.

Obama, Bipartisanship and the Clemens Hearing

Sun Feb 17, 2008 at 08:27:21 AM PDT

One of the big differences between Clinton and Obama is their approach to bipartisanship.  To some extent there is a bit of rhetoric and political gamesmanship to this, as they have both worked across party lines at times, and at other times both have played a more partisan role.

But for those who take this as a serious difference between them, and who buy in to the Obama approach to this, I wonder if you paid much attention to the Roger Clemens hearing before Waxman's committee last week.  If you did, I'm wondering if it has caused you to revisit your views on this.

ABC's Tapper - Is Obama Using Sexist Language?

Sat Feb 16, 2008 at 12:03:44 PM PDT

Jake Tapper on his Political Punch blog today asks:

Is Obama Using Sexist Language?

http://blogs.abcnews.com/...

A few key quotes from the piece:

Earlier this month, speaking at Tulane University, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, said this about the attacks coming his way from Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY:

"You challenge the status quo and suddenly the claws come out," Obama said.

The CLAWS come out? Really?

Then yesterday Obama told reporters who had asked about Clinton's latest attack ad, "I understand that Senator Clinton, periodically when she's feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal."

Yes, Obama SURE DID say that about Social Security!

Fri Feb 15, 2008 at 06:07:05 PM PDT

I see that many of the Obama supporters are all in a snit about a new Hillary ad that criticizes comments Obama has made about Social Security.  Somebody dug up a "fact check" from ABC that supposedly discredits the ad.

The ABC piece says that he didn't "expressly say" that he might raise the retirement age, for example.

OMG!!!  If this doesn't show you how pathetically the media is in the tank for Obama, nothing ever will!!!!

Hillary Comes Out Fighting!

Thu Feb 14, 2008 at 01:54:46 PM PDT

Taking on Special Interests - and Obama as well.  This is what she needs to do!

More, please....

http://www.talkleft.com/...

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, criticized for taking corporate special interest contributions, proposed restrictions on a wide array of industries Thursday and stepped up her assault on rival Barack Obama, casting him as the candidate more beholden to corporations.

In a speech to General Motors workers and executives, Clinton trumped Obama's own economic plan from a day before and appeared to be channeling former rival John Edwards' populist anti-corporate message.

Cheer Up, Hillary Supporters! SUSA OH - C 56, O 39

Tue Feb 12, 2008 at 01:26:51 PM PDT

Great news - brand new polling from the very reliable Survey USA, which nailed most of the Feb. 5th states, gives Hillary a very, very solid lead in Ohio!

Do Republicans Pundits REALLY Fear Obama?

Mon Feb 11, 2008 at 03:07:14 PM PDT

An excellent piece by David Seaton asks:

Why do Peggy Noonan, George Will and David Brooks favor Obama?

http://seaton-newslinks.blogspot.com...

Good question!  He comes to the same conclusion that I do - he smells a big, fat rat.
